ACCOMODATION
Charming, Spacious & Fully Equipped for Your Rutland Retreat
Tucked away in the heart of Cottesmore village, The Bee Cottage Rutland offers thoughtfully appointed accommodation across two floors. With three comfortable bedrooms, generous living areas, and a private garden, it’s the ideal countryside base for couples, families, or small groups.
The Bedrooms

The Master Bedroom
Upstairs in the Cottage, you’ll find the Master Bedroom – complete with a King-size bed, handmade wooden headboard, high thread-count hotel quality sheets, and ample storage space. With bedside tables and reading lights, it’s the perfect place to unwind and recharge.
The Twin Bedroom
On the first floor of the Cottage, you’ll find a cozy bedroom with two comfortable single beds, a dressing table, and bedside lamps. Just like the Master Bedroom, we’ve provided sumptuous hotel quality cotton sheets and bedding to ensure a restful night’s sleep.

The Single bedroom
Downstairs, find a cozy room with picturesque views and garden access. It’s ideal for an older child or daytime nap, but not recommended for very young children due the garden proximity. The room includes a wardrobe with hanging space for your belongings, and its comfortability.
The Bathrooms
The Family Bathroom
Upstairs, beside the Master and Twin bedrooms, you’ll find the family bathroom. It boasts modern decor with glossy metro tiles and an electric power shower, adding a touch of freshness to the 16th century thatched cottage.

The Downstairs Cloakroom
Conveniently situated for all guests, the cloakroom is just steps away and provides easy access for all your needs. Additionally, the cloakroom features a washing machine, making it a practical and functional space for your stay.

The Living Areas

The Living Room
The living room boasts three cozy seating areas with surprising spaciousness and unique atmospheres. The main area features a large sofa facing a wood-burning stove and TV, while the second seating area offers a decorative fireplace for playing cards or chatting. Finally, the third seating area provides a peaceful retreat for reading by the window.
The Dining room
Nestled between the kitchen and lounge, the Bee Cottage’s dining room is perfectly situated for family and couple getaways. Large windows provide ample natural light and lovely views of the conservatory. With seating for six, the dining table is ideal for enjoying meals throughout the day, whether it’s a cozy breakfast or a relaxing dinner.

The Conservatory
The semi-circular conservatory at the heart of the cottage offers stunning garden views and extra seating. Three comfy chairs and faux fur blankets make it perfect for relaxing with coffee or wine. Wildlife, like hedgehogs and birds, often visit the garden. At night, the conservatory glows with string lights, creating a magical calm to unwind.
The Kitchen

The Heart of the Cottage
The fully equipped kitchen at Bee Cottage combines classic charm with modern convenience. With gleaming quartz countertops, a traditional stable door, and views of roses climbing the garden wall, it’s a delightful space to prepare everything from lazy breakfasts to hearty evening meals. Located just off the dining room, the kitchen includes an oven, four-ring hob, microwave, toaster, drip coffee machine, and all the cookware and tableware you’ll need during your stay.

The Garden
A Peaceful & Dog-Friendly Garden
Step outside into a private garden designed for relaxation, with mature planting, shingled paths, and space to dine al fresco. The garden is enclosed and secure for most dogs, making it a welcoming spot for four-legged guests too. If you have any concerns about bringing your dog, feel free to get in touch — we’re happy to provide more details to ensure a comfortable stay for everyone.

Accessibility Considerations
Many old features remain within the cottage. Because of this, we advise our guests that the cottage regrettably lacks accessible amenities found in more modern properties and some lower ceilings and beams remain a feature in the cottage. Specific details and photographs (e.g. stairways & entrance widths) can be provided upon request. Please feel free to contact us for more information.
