Tell us more about the Bee Cottage Rutland.

The Bee Cottage Rutland is a historic 16th-century thatched cottage located in Cottesmore village, near Rutland Water. With original exposed beams, a wood-burning stove, and ample living space, it can accommodate up to five guests. Originally a doctor’s house, it offers a charming and picturesque stay.

Despite its quaint appearance, the cottage has a generously sized living space. Featuring a separate seating area around close to a wood burner, a cozy reading corner, and a tranquil conservatory perfect for enjoying a cup of tea, this property is ideal for relaxation. The bright dining room, located between the kitchen, lounge, and conservatory, provides ample space for leisurely breakfasts or dinner for up to six guests.

Upstairs, two exquisitely appointed bedrooms await, complete with crisp linens and plush towels. The third bedroom is conveniently located on the ground floor and offers direct access to the garden. Take a look at these photos to see how our Gardener Paul has taken care of the garden

Located on a peaceful lane, just a short stroll from the charming Sun Inn village pub and a small village shop, the cottage offers a serene retreat. With an abundance of activities to keep visitors of all ages entertained around Rutland Water, Bee Cottage Rutland is the perfect place to unwind and recharge after a full day exploring England’s smallest county.

With Rutland County becoming an increasingly popular destination for visitors from all over the world, there is no shortage of experiences, walks, local attractions, family activities, and nearby shops to enjoy in neighbouring villages and towns.
