Welcome to the Bee Cottage...

Situated in the village of Cottesmore, and only 5 minutes away from Rutland Water, is a 16th century picture perfect thatched cottage. With original features such as exposed beams, a newly installed wood burning stove and ample living space, the cottage provides accommodation for up to 5 people.

The cottage has a deceptively large living area, with seperate seating around a second decorative stone fireplace as well as a tucked away reading corner and a conservatory in which to enjoy a cup of tea. The dining room nestles between the kitchen, lounge and conservatory – bright and airy for leisurely breakfasts and perfectly practical for having an evening meal for up to 6 people.

Upstairs, there are two beautifully presented bedrooms with crisp linens and fluffy towels. The third bedroom is situated downstairs with direct access to the garden.

The cottage is situated in a quiet lane only a stone’s throw away from the village pub and shops. With plenty of activities to keep visitors of all ages busy around Rutland Water, the Bee cottage is the ideal place where visitors can relax and put their feet up after busy days exploring England’s smallest county. Guests are welcomed to the cottage with a supply of coffee, tea and freshly baked honey cookies.
